Program: Julia Galloway – Pottery and Place
We are excited to have Julia Galloway, a potter and professor of ceramics at the University of Montana, in Missoula, launch our fall season. Julia will discuss her larger pottery installation projects, how the ideas developed and how the display of the pottery enhances the concepts in the work. She will also present potters and sculptors working with similar ideas. Towards t

Julia is an inspiring ceramics ambassador – devoted to teaching pottery and elevating the understanding of ceramics to the fine arts community and general public. She was awarded a highly competitive $50,000 fellowship from United States Artists and a Distinguished Scholar Award from the
University of Montana. Her work is in well-known collections throughout the country and exhibited widely.
