Program: Lisa Orr – October 16, 7 PM
When More is More…
Over her 40-year career, Lisa has carved out a unique niche in the world of functional ceramics that exhibits bold color choices, exuberant decoration and fluid, botanical shapes. The result can only be described as joyful.
Lisa will demostrate engobe application, slip trailing over engobe, sprigging, and how to make a sprig using plasticine to form positives. She’ll share a bit about her influences and projects over her 40-year career and some wisdom from mentors.
A full full-time studio potter, Lisa teaches, lectures, and shows nationally and internationally. She has an MFA from Alfred University and received a Fulbright and an MAAA/NEA grant. Her work is shown in numerous public and private collections.
Members and registered guests will receive a zoom link around 6 PM
