My pottery training consisted of Montgomery County Adult Education, Glen Echo Pottery and Montgomery College. I also participated in workshops at Touchstone Center for the Arts, Penland, and Anderson Ranch with Malcolm Davis, Gay Smith, and other well-known potters. I have been a member and served as Membership Chairman, Treasurer, and President of Montgomery Potters.
Most of my work is functional, is made of stoneware or porcelain, and is made by the potter’s wheel or hand-building methods. My work has been included in sales events by Glen Echo Pottery, Montgomery Potters and the Ceramic Guild. I have won several awards at Montgomery Potters juried shows. My work has been shown in past Creative Crafts Council Biennial Exhibitions and at juried ceramics shows at the Popcorn Gallery in Glen Echo Park.
